Portfolio website

I built a portfolio website for Simon Malinowsky, an artist working across enamel sculpture, graphics, comics and tattoos. His brief was to let the typography carry the design and let the images speak for themselves. It should be minimal, but uncompromising and bold at the same time.

Each category is announced by an oversized headline that stretches through the entire width of the screen. When the mouse hovers over it, the highlighted category stretches vertically too.

The backend runs on Kirby CMS, with a custom structure that gives Simon the flexibility to mix projects, external links and documents in the navigation.
